ABOUT CHASSIS DOCTOR

Chassis Doctor exists because the knowledge that makes a race car fast has always been unevenly distributed.

The professional teams have it. The top engineers have it. But the driver trying to figure out why their car pushes mid-corner at a club meeting on a Saturday night? They’ve had almost nothing — until now.

WHERE IT COMES FROM

Chassis Doctor is the product of over thirty years of motorsport experience across multiple disciplines, thousands of hours of research, and a deliberate effort to bring together everything that is known about race car setup into one place — structured, tested, and presented in language that any racer can use.

The foundation is lived experience. Our founder grew up immersed in motorsport from birth — not as a spectator, but as part of it. He began racing at 16 and over the following three decades competed across oval racing and circuit racing in everything from Brisca Formula 2 stock cars, Hot Rods and Baby Grands on tarmac and shale ovals, to open-wheel circuit racing in the 750 Formula — where multiple class wins and a class championship followed. Every discipline, every surface, every type of chassis added to a body of knowledge that could only be built the hard way, over decades, at the competitive end of the sport.

Alongside the racing, the study never stopped. From the foundational texts of motorsport engineering — Allan Staniforth, William F. Milliken, and the full spectrum of relevant technical literature — to close working associations with some of the most respected car builders and racers in the sport, the theoretical framework was built carefully, cross-referenced against real-world results, and tested on cars that competed at the front of grids.

And the building. Designing and constructing bespoke race cars from the age of 18 — stock cars, circuit cars, specialist builds for other competitors across multiple classes — means the knowledge behind Chassis Doctor is not theoretical understanding or second-hand observation. It comes from the person who designed the chassis, built it, set it up, drove it, and then started again.

Thirty years of racing across multiple disciplines. Decades of research drawn from the best sources in motorsport engineering. Cars designed, built and taken to the front of grids. That is what Chassis Doctor is built on.

WHAT CHASSIS DOCTOR IS

Chassis Doctor is a motorsport setup platform built for every car racer in the world — from the club driver on their first season to the experienced campaigner who wants to go deeper into the engineering of their car.

Not generic theory from a textbook. Not advice written for one specific class or one specific type of circuit. Not paddock rumour or borrowed settings from the driver in the next pit. A genuine, comprehensive, accessible resource built from real-world experience — covering the fundamental principles that apply to every car on every track, with discipline-specific guidance for the surfaces, classes, and conditions you actually race in.

The Chassis Doctor app is the first tool of its kind anywhere in the world. While plenty of resources exist that explain setup theory, nothing has ever put real, practical setup support in the hands of a driver or engineer standing in the paddock between sessions — until now. The app gives you live adjustment guidance based on what your car is actually doing, a full setup reference library, and the Motorsport University course library, all in one place. It is not a textbook you read once. It is a tool you use at every meeting, for as long as you race.

The ebooks and audiobooks bring the same depth to every format — detailed enough for the driver who wants to understand the engineering, accessible enough for the driver who just wants to know what to adjust and why. Each title in the library is built around a specific discipline — because setup knowledge is most useful when it speaks directly to the car you race and the surface you race on. The podcast brings the conversation to the community — the knowledge, the stories, and the people who have spent their lives making race cars fast.

WHO IT’S FOR

Chassis Doctor is for any driver, in any car, on any circuit or oval, anywhere in the world, who has ever felt that their car was holding them back.

Talent is not the limiting factor at most club race meetings. Setup knowledge is. A car that is even slightly out of shape will hold back the most talented driver every single time. Chassis Doctor exists to close that gap — to give every racer access to the same quality of setup knowledge that the best-prepared teams in the paddock have always had, regardless of budget, experience level, or where in the world they race.

The fundamentals of chassis behaviour are the same whether you race on a short oval in Birmingham, a circuit in Brisbane, a karting track in Birmingham Alabama, or a hillclimb stage in the French Alps. Roll centres don’t care what country you’re in. Weight transfer is weight transfer. Tyre contact patch physics doesn’t change with the passport of the driver.

Whatever you race. Wherever you race it. Chassis Doctor is for you.

A car that’s set up right doesn’t just go faster. It tells you what it needs. Chassis Doctor teaches you how to listen.
